Florence Scovel Shinn was one of the master metaphysicians of recent times. During her time from 1871 to 1940, she walked in a state of empowerment as a woman far ahead of her time. An artist and book illustrator by profession, she harnessed the power of thought and the word, and made strong use of affirmations. When people discovered that she was deeply tapped into Source energy and observed the results she manifested, they came to her to speak the word for their prosperity, relationships, and healing. She was rooted in understanding of the Bible, which she interpreted metaphysically.
Ms. Shinn reminds me a great deal of my mentor Hilda Charlton. Both women were self-styled, independent, visionary, and founded in truth.
